The quality of the chip tuning starts here in the development department.  Before we craft an add-on controller in series, many laboratory tests and test runs are necessary.  If we carry out chip tuning, our customers are not the test drivers.  Software experts and engine engineers develop the optimal chip tuning in the laboratories and workshops of Powerhouse.  So our optimization of the controller occures at new vehicles.  On modern in-house dynamometer, we determine the data in order to be able to develop a corresponding fully developed chip tuning.  At the same time we mind the given tolerances of the manufacturer and exploid this not completely.  We don't want to reach any maximum values, that goes at the expense of the motor.  So it is a part of our quality standard of serious chip tuning that all protecting functions of the serially installed engine controller are preserved.  Also an electronic diagnostics is always possible after chip tuning with a kit of us.  Also the exhaust fume values remain in the area of the legally permitted standards after the chip tuning.  In order to realize our goal of an innovative and qualitatively high-value chip tuning, we use exclusive selected materials.  The cage consists of special aluminium, which is heat-resistant enough to persist long-termed against the temperatures in the motor compartment.  An additional Gore Tex protection bag protects against dirt and environment influences in order to let look the module as good as new also after years.  The core of our chip tuning module, the CPU on SMD basis commands a high computing power.  Only through this is guaranteed that in chip tuning the complex scanning of the grid takes place in an exact calculation of the real time, what is essential for a performance enhancing of the engine.  Through the optimization of the fuel system the motor reaches an improved efficiency.  The positive effect:  The fuel consumption declines.  Chip tuning offers an increase of the torque and the PS capacity. An operation mode in the low range of speed is possible through it.  Also there from our customers profit and don't need refuel that often.  Through the chip tuning are saving potentials of 10 to 20 percent realizable.

A central point in chip tuning with Chiptronic is the security.  Our software specialists configure the series management of the engine in cooperation with motor experts.  In contrast to that stands the supposedly low cost chip tuning of discounters.  The knowledge about the complicated chain in the electronic controller of an engine often remains concealed to them.  Here they simply patch around at the existing data.  Somehow an increased efficiency will be taking place.  At the same time they mind neither the capacity yet the efficiency.  A consequence there from is that the car signals error messages again and again during the trip.  So the motor control lamp blinks while driving, the car jerks or the car entirely goes into the emergency operation.  We mind in our chip tuning, that furthermore all relevant use parameters of the engine control become recognized and noted.  Until it is thus far, that our newly to be developed controllers guarantee this maximum of security, is always much precision work necessary.  Already smallest variations can entail large effects.  The engine controller must also evaluate and adjust the air density, the engine temperature and the coolant in connection with the current journey data after the chip tuning.  The program of the engine control processes these data and passes it to the corresponding sensors.  Here our chip tuning applies.  In our additional controller, all relevant data are deposited for the engine control in optimized form.  So the grids and the characteristic lines get improved with our chip tuning.  These complicated flows are all stored in the CPU, which is in the high-class small aluminium cage.  The software modifications for our chip tuning were tested extensive before we transmit it to the customers.  Only if the different attempt rows passed positively, the chip tuning is also suitable for the daily use in the car.
